How a Custom Cap Comes to Life

From the first rough idea to boxes on your dock — here is the exact process every order follows, including how our pricing works. No mystery bundles, no surprises.

The Order Journey

Share the Idea

Send us whatever you have — a sketch, your client's logo, photos of a cap you want to improve on. That's enough to start. Our in-house art team turns it into a free concept mockup so you and your client can see the cap before anyone commits to anything.

Tip for distributors: high-resolution photos of the front logo and any under-visor art get you an accurate concept on the first pass.

Refine the Concept

We revise the mockup until it's exactly what your client wants — fabric, structure, closure, decoration in every location, down to details like rope color and inside seam-tape printing. You approve the direction before pricing is even discussed.

Get a Component-by-Component Quote

Our quotes break the cap into its parts, each priced on its own line — the base cap, then every add-on. You can see exactly what each feature costs, cut or add components to hit your budget, and resell with confidence. Setup is free at 288 pieces, and every cap includes generous stitch counts.

Quotes track your quantity price break (144 / 288 / 576 / 1,500 / 2,500 / 5,000). The example below shows a real 288-piece structure.

Send Your PO, Approve Your Proof

With your purchase order in hand we produce a pre-production proof — including exact PMS color matching for fabrics, threads, snaps, and labels. Change the blue to PMS 301 at this stage? No problem. Once you approve the proof by email, it's final and production begins.

Please review proofs carefully — spelling, colors, placement. An approved proof is the contract for what we build.

Production at Our Own Factory

Your caps are cut, sewn, and decorated at our own overseas factory — the same pipeline we've run for 30 years. Most orders ship in about 21 days from sewout approval; a relaxed, no-rush custom program typically runs about a month. And a note on quality: we embroider the panels BEFORE the cap is assembled — flat panels, nothing fighting the machine — so the stitching comes out cleaner and sharper than domestic embroidery on a finished cap. Not better equipment; just physics. It is also why a second and third decoration location cost so little here: one location, a domestic embroiderer may beat us; two, we are usually cheaper; three or more, it is not close.

Quality Assurance & Honest Counts

Custom production runs allow ±3% quantity variance for quality assurance — we'd rather over-produce and hand-inspect than ship you a short count. Any overage is billed at your same per-cap price, never at a premium.

Delivery, Tracking & Simple Invoicing

You get tracking the day your order ships, a delivery estimate, and a clean line-item invoice that mirrors the quote — payable online, with Net 30 available to clients with approved terms. When your client reorders next season, the spec, art, and pricing are already on file.

Anatomy of a Cap Company Quote

Here's a real quote structure from a recent 288-piece custom program — a fully-loaded cap with decoration in six locations. Every component on its own line, so you decide what stays.

Base cap — microfiber, heavy structure, snapback closure, 20K stitches of embroidery across front & both sides, laser-cut vent holes
Under-visor sublimation (full-color art under the bill)
Rope across the bill
Printed inside seam tape (your brand inside the cap)
Woven closure tag
Tariff (passed through at cost — quoted transparently, adjusted if rates change)
Shipping, delivered to your door
Delivered cost per cap — six decoration locations, no setup fee

Pricing coming soon. This is how every quote is built — each component broken out on its own line so nothing is hidden. Your quote will reflect your style, decoration, stitch count, and current tariff, itemized exactly this way. Request a quote for your numbers.
