Sublimated Patch Caps — Full-Color Detail Embroidery Can't Match
When a logo has gradients, photo elements, or more colors than thread can hold, a dye-sublimated patch prints it photo-quality on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed (overlocked) border or a clean sewn-down edge, and applied at the factory.
When to spec sublimation over embroidery
- 6+ color logos, gradients, halftones, or photographic art
- Tiny text that would blur in thread at cap scale
- Event caps where art changes yearly — new patch art, same cap program
Pair a sublimated front patch with embroidered back-arch text on the same order — both live inside one component quote. See all decoration methods →
Most orders ship in about 21 days from sewout approval — versus the 60–90 days typical importers quote.
Every cap includes up to 12,000 embroidery stitches (minimum 4,000 per location). Virtual proofs and digitizing are free and come back within 24 hours. Trade-only: we sell exclusively to promotional-products distributors and resellers, priced with room for your margin. SAGE #200546.
What distributors say
"The proof came back the next morning with the logo already on the exact colorway my client wanted. We closed a 1,500-piece program that week."
"Factory-direct pricing with 12K stitches included changed our margin math on every headwear program we quote."
"Three weeks from sewout approval on 576 caps — in hand a few days later, and the caps matched the photos on the site exactly. Our embroidery vendor couldn't believe the stitch quality."
